MCAG 2020-2021: A Season of Hope
Today, the Maury County Arts Guild is pleased to announce our 2020-2021 season: A Season of Hope. It is our plan to offer the following shows in 2020-2021:
Bring it On: The Musical
Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella
Hamlet for Community Theatre (written by local artist Beverly Mitchell)
The Marvelous Wonderettes
Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat
This is truly a season of hopes and dreams.
A cheerleader who hopes to soar with the best…a girl who dreams of dancing with the prince…a director who hopes to bring Hamlet to the stage…families who hope for a peaceful passing…a group of girls who dream of their high school years…a boy whose dreams come true...
As we look forward, the health and well-being of the Maury County Arts Guild family—including our volunteers & artists as well as our audience—is our primary concern. We are committed to helping mitigate the spread of COVID-19 in our community. We will continue to work with guidance from state and local health officials as we make decisions, and dates for shows and auditions will be announced as appropriate. We will not prepare or perform any shows until it is safe to do so.
Although the future may be uncertain, we have hope. We have hope that we will emerge from this crisis safer and stronger than before. We have confidence in the power of art and in the resilience of the human spirit. We look forward with anticipation to the moment when we can celebrate our shared experience—and when we can be together again. Above all, we have hope.
Thank you for your support of MCAG and for your understanding and patience during these times. Please take care of yourselves, your families, and your neighbors throughout our community. We look forward to seeing you soon!
“If you dream it, want it, feel it…then it’s real!”---from Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat
